Custom Desktop Cover
Overview
In 2021 the front panel to my desktop computer broke. I contacted the customer support for Thermaltake to see if I could get a replacement, but they said they did not sell replacements and that I would need to buy another computer case! I was not going to spend $100+ on a new case when I only needed a new front panel, so I decided to ask burlingame high school if I could use their CNC machine to make a replacement.
CAD was done in Solidworks and CAM was done in Fusion 360. I used a 1/4" sheet of polycarbonate that I got super cheap from a local plastics store called TAPS plastic. Project was finished within a week from idea, to CAD, to machining.

A good excuse to use the CNC.
